28.13 java.net.NoRouteToHostException (JDK 1.1)

This exception signals that a socket could not be connected to a remote host, because the host could not be contacted. Typically this means that some link in the network between the local machine and the remote host is down, or that the host is behind a firewall.

public class NoRouteToHostException extends SocketException {
    // Public Constructors
            public NoRouteToHostException(String msg);
            public NoRouteToHostException();
}

Hierarchy:

Object->Throwable(Serializable)->Exception->IOException->SocketException->NoRouteToHostException
